Understanding Youth Homelessness

Virtual

Each year, an estimated 4.2 million youth and young adults experience homelessness in the US, of which 700,000 are unaccompanied minors, meaning they are not part of a family or accompanied by a parent or guardian. On any given night, approximately 41,000 unaccompanied youth ages 13-25 experience homelessness.

Join YCD for our November webinar to explore youth homelessness, and how we can help homeless teens. In this webinar we’ll be joined by young people who have first-hand experience with homelessness, as well as nonprofit professionals who support the unhoused. We’ll explore what causes young people to become homeless in the first place, learn about their experiences while “on the streets,” and also discuss strategies that help young people find housing again.
