YCD Colorado

YCD Colorado supports high school teens and educators exploring identity, educating their peers and themselves, and making Colorado schools inclusive for all.

Started in 1994 as the Cherry Creek Diversity Conference with just 18 schools attending, today YCD Colorado reaches over 1,100 teens and educators in 185+ schools and youth organizations annually across the state through our program.

YCD Colorado now offers a mixture of virtual and in-person events, workshops, trainings, discussion groups, and resources to empower Colorado teens and educators to advance inclusion and justice in their local school and community.

Students and educators can sign up for YCD Colorado here.

YCD Colorado Student Board

YCD’s activities in Colorado, including the Colorado Youth Diversity Conference, are planned entirely by the YCD Colorado Student Board, a team of some 20-30 students from a wide variety of high schools and identities. Join a group of teens who are passionate about advancing inclusion and social justice, and learn the skills you need to make positive social change in your school and community!

The Board is open to any Colorado-based student who will be in high school during the 2024-25 school year. Weekly meetings take place Mondays from 6:00 – 7:30 pm and are held at Cherry Creek High School (get directions here). Meetings start in September 2024 and run through February 2025.
